Title: Agreement Between Kitsap County and the Skokomish Indian Tribe for the Provision of Juvenile Detention Facilities
Parties: Kitsap County and Skokomish Indian Tribe

Description:

This agreement between the Skokomish and Kitsap County lays out the terms by which the county will make available to the Tribe space in the county Juvenile Detention Facility, when the Manager of the facility determines space is available, for which space the Skokomish Indian Tribe shall reimburse Kitsap County. Provisions include:

Only youths alleged by the tribe or adjudicatd by the tribe shall be referred for custody.
Tribe has sole responsibility for determining that youth presented for custody are detainable under Skokomish law.
County bears no responsibility to screen referrals against detention criteria and legal standards
Tribe pays a daily rate for tribal youth in detention
Tribe pays transportation costs
County pays for routine medical, tribe pays for any separate medical (dental, prescriptions, etc.)'
Tribe authorizes a limited waiver of sovereign immunity

Title: Nisqually Jail Service Agreement
Parties: Nisqually and City of Fife
Date enacted/published: April 8, 2014

Description:

This agreement was created to allow the City of Fife to use the Nisqually Detention and Corrections Center to house Fife inmates. Nisqually agreed to provide room and board, provide for the prisoner's physical needs, retain prisoner in custody, and supervise and maintain discipline and control. Nisqually approved a limited waiver sovereign immunity.
